Is it some sort of Vanishing Cabinet, then? Er--

[He glances down at her dress, thoughtfully.]

Jealous, maybe. Nah, I'm taking you Diagon Alley--wizards can't afford to judge people based on clothing. It's either robes or else they're always going about wearing bloomers and kilts and sleeping caps from about a hundred years ago. You'll look really stylish and modern compared to them.

So if you can stand some admiring glances...

If you wanted to be admired, you would have needed to take Susan along with you. She's the real beauty, men have traveled across land and sea just to look at her.

But you're lucky, I'm the one with a more adventurous mind.

[That Susan sounds like a good deal right there, yeah. Men traveling to see you because you're so beautiful is like some Helen of Troy sort of thing--but Sirius knows better than to say this to the girl who's on his arm.]

Adventurous mind, and I think you're severely underselling yourself, if that's not too forward to say. Is that too forward to say?

And yeah, I'm a wizard. You're in London, but in the magical part--or well, you soon will be, once we get there. What sort of magic d'you want to see?

[Besides instant travel, that one's a given. How else will they get to Diagon Alley from his flat?]

[She wouldn't call for his head even if he wasn't, truthfully.

Susan's also not remotely as nice as Lucy, for all that she's called the Gentle, but that's an entirely other matter.]

Can you turn a teacup into a dormouse?

I can turn a teacup into nearly anything, miss. My lady? What do I call you... well, what colour mouse would you like, answer me that one.
